Arguably the greatest basketball player in the history of the sport was 55 when he married then 35-year-old Cuban model Yvette Prieto in 2013. They met at a club in 2008. The two wed in Palm Beach, Florida in a star-studded wedding with singers Usher and Robin Thicke singing at the reception. They have twin girls Ysabel and Victoria. Yvette is also a stepmother to Jordan’s three children from his previous marriage to Juanita Vanoy.

Michael Strahan, a former American football player, married Jean Muggli in 1999. The pair had two daughters but separated in 2005 after a domestic dispute. Michael filed for a divorce, which got pretty complicated and scandalous. Muggli was eventually given a $15 million settlement and $18,000 a month in child support.

Academy Award winner Halle Berry met French actor Olivier Martinez in 2010 on the set of ‘Dark Tide’ and began dating. A couple of years later, the couple got engaged and married the next year in France. Only three months after the wedding, Berry gave birth to their son Maceo Robert Martinez. But the couple announced they were filing for divorce only two years later.

Robin Thicke, singer, songwriter, and producer of the hit single ‘Blurred Lines,’ met his ex-wife Paula Patton in 1991 when he was only 14 in a hip-hop club named Balistyx on the Los Angeles Sunset Strip. They started dating two years later. True high school sweethearts, the pair married in 2005 and welcomed their son Julian Fuego Thicke in 2010. However, Patton filed for divorce in 2014.

They married in 1994 and had three children named Spencer, Mason, and Piper. Unfortunately, they separated in 2014, only to be finalized in 2017. Woody Harrelson met his wife Laura Louie way back in 1987 while filming the classic TV show ‘Cheers’. Laura actually became Woody’s assistant for two years, but later married in 2008. It was an intimate ceremony at their Maui home in which celeb friends Owen Wilson, Willie Nelson, and Sean Penn attended. Alanis Morissette provided the entertainment and even sang at the wedding. Getting married must have been much easier considering the two already birthed three daughters together before getting married. They married 6 months later at the Lucas Skywalker Ranch. And just a month later, they welcomed their first child via surrogate, Everest Hobson Lucas.

Dallas Mavericks player and German basketball star Dirk Nowitzki met Jessica Olsson at a charity event in 2010 called the “Sports for Education and Economic Development” or (SEED). Nowitzki hailed from Würzburg, Germany, a town of about 125,000 people.

The two really hit it off and married two years later in an African ceremony in Dallas, Texas. Both said they loved the ceremony and with Nowitzki saying he is fascinated by Olsson’s family traditions. Jessica Nowitzki is the daughter of a Kenyan mother and Swedish father.

Prince Harry surprised many by choosing to marry Markle, who is a divorcee and the first Black royal in modern British history. The couple started dating in 2017. Gomez’s father is Mexican, and her mother has some Italian ancestry. After living together in an apartment in Greenwich Village, New York for some time, they broke up. The Weeknd reportedly referenced Selena in some of his songs on his record ‘My Dear Melancholy.’

Dwayne Johnson & Lauren Hashian

The actor and former WWE wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson met his wife and musician Lauren Hashian on the set of the film ‘The Game Plan.’ They have been together since 2006 and are parents to two daughters, Jasmine, and Tiana Gia. Johnson was once married to Dany Garcia with whom he has another daughter named Simone. Johnson’s father is Black Canadian, and his mother is Samoan.
