If you’re looking for proof that love is blind and has no boundaries, these celebrities are it. Each one has come out, whether it was many years ago in the last few years. And regardless of when they decided to be open about their love interests, these celebrity LGBT couples remind us that all relationships are the same – whether it’s with another man or woman.

We’re Kicking Off Our List with Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka

Pretty much everyone over the age of 30 remembers or at least knows the name, Doogie Howser. The star of the 90’s series, Neil Patrick Harris, has been open about his sexuality for a long time now. He and Chef David Burtka are both are successful in their own right. Harris is an actor, host, and Broadway star and Burtka has dabbled in the industry but is now focused on his main passion for cooking.

Although hiding nothing, the couple were never as loud and proud about being together. They used to keep their love for each other secret for five years, only making their entire relationship official in 2014. Before their wedding, they had twins through surrogacy who were born in 2010.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi

Whoever doesn’t know of Ellen and Portia as a lesbian couple must be living under a rock. They’re by far the most famous LGBT couple in Hollywood. Most people see them as a power couple and admire how their relationship stood the test of time. The two began dating in 2004 while Portia was working as a model and actress and Ellen was doing standup. Four years later, they tied the knot.

The power couple is doing their part in terms of being progressive. Ellen received an award for raising LGBT rights – the Presidential Medal of Freedom. And Portia is a philanthropist. The couple loves animals and works with animal rights advocates.

Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli

The hit TV series ‘Orange Is the New Black’ led to a blooming relationship. Lauren Morelli, the show’s writer, met Samira Wiley on the set of the show, where Samira played a character named Poussey Washington.

The pair got engaged in October 2016 and married a year later. Morelli was actually married to a man prior to Samira but later came out as gay while working on the series. She divorced her ex-husband and hasn’t looked back since.

Jodie Foster and Alexandra Hedison

It was when Jodie Foster was a guest on ‘Late Night with David Letterman,’ that the host cheekily implied Foster’s sexuality that it would be sad if she could never be with a man. Jodie Foster clearly thinks otherwise as she’s happily married to Alexandra Hedison, a director, artist, and teacher.

Foster is considered to be one of this generation’s “greatest actresses.” Hedison actually used to date, Ellen DeGeneres. Foster and Hedison later wed in 2014, a year after the two met. Foster has two children with her previous partner, Cydney Bernard. Their eldest son is pursuing an acting career while the youngest chooses to stay out of the spotlight.

Cara Delevingne and Annie Clark (St. Vincent)

Cara Delevingne, the modeling industry’s “it girl,” has been seen everywhere as not just a model, but also a singer and now as an actress. She decided to pursue a different career, becoming fed up with the catwalk.

Most people didn’t know that the two were together already for 18 years. The couple appeared on ‘The Newlywed Game’ TV show a year later and won $10,000 for their chosen charity, the Japanese American National Museum.

After publicly coming out in 2006, the former NSYNC member dated men. But it wasn’t until 2011 that Lance started dating Michael Turchin. Three years later, they married in a televised special filmed for E! called, ‘Lance Loves Micheal: The Lance Bass Wedding.’

Michael Kors and Lance Lepere

Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak

15 years before the hit show ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ actor Jim Parsons and his now-husband Todd Spiewak tied the knot. Apparently, Jim wasn’t so gung-ho on weddings but decided to go ahead with it to “legalize this thing.”

Elliot Page and Samantha Thomas

Actress Elliot Page is best known for his role in the films ‘Juno’ and ‘Inception.’ But not many know about his relationship with Samantha Thomas, a surfer, and artist. Page came out back in 2014, during a Human Rights Campaign, and came out as transgender more recently. He expressed his fear of being out, causing his spirit and mental health to suffer because of it.

RuPaul and Georges LeBar

RuPaul is the most commercially successful drag queen and has his own reality show, ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ which has received two Primetime Emmy Awards. He was also included in Time’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

During an interview in 2017, RuPaul disclosed that he secretly married his boyfriend of 23 years. He stated, “I don’t think I’ve said this on television before. Cheyenne Jackson and Jason Landau

Country music singer Chely Wright was one of the first country music stars to come out as a lesbian back in 2010. A year after she came out, she got engaged to Lauren Blitzer, an advocate of LGBT rights.

Linda Perry and Sara Gilbert

And Rosser made history by being the first professional wrestler to publicly come out as gay while still signed to a major promotion.
