Ramsay was never technically obese or dangerously overweight, but there was a period when he was much larger than he is now. He says that his number one trick to losing weight and becoming slimmer was to control the size of his portions. This allowed him to lose a total of eight pounds, and it makes a real difference to his appearance.

That’s when she decided to quit junk food and wave goodbye to fat and carbs. She’s lost 40 lbs since making some major changes to her diet and often speaks out about her body image challenges on TV, inspiring other people to make the changes they need to make to feel happier in their own bodies.

Chris Sullivan

Fans of This Is Us will recognize Chris Sullivan. Like his co-star Chrissy Metz, Chris has struggled with weight issues for much of his life, and this has been represented on screen too, as his This Is Us character also tends to eat too much and even has heart problems during one season of the show.

Fortunately, Chris Sullivan, in real life, isn’t going in that same direction. He’s been hitting the gym on a very regular basis and eating healthy foods, too, transforming his physical appearance and losing a ton of weight when compared to his early appearances on the show.

Timothy Spall

Timothy Spall is an icon of British comedy, appearing in some of the most popular British TV shows of all time and becoming well-known to international audiences too for his roles in movies like the Harry Potter series. For much of his career, he’s been in the ‘overweight’ category, but he’s lost a lot of weight in recent years thanks to some smart lifestyle adjustments.

At first, when seeing how much weight he’d lost, fans worried he might be unwell, but in interviews, Spall revealed that he’d gone on a diet to improve his overall health and reduce the risk of a heart attack.

Diego Maradona

Widely regarded as one of the greatest soccer players of all time, Diego Maradona is an icon in Argentina and all over the globe. Sadly, after his playing career ended and he stopped training so hard, he started piling on the pounds.

He even had a couple of gastric bypass surgeries, which proved unsuccessful at getting his weight in check, due to many years of alcohol and drug abuse. Fortunately, in recent times, he’s shown more dedication to his new diet plan, adjusting the foods he eats, cutting down on alcohol, and looking much more like his old self.

Jimmy Kimmel

One of America’s favorite late-night talk show hosts, Jimmy Kimmel, makes us laugh and cry with his non-stop jokes and emotional monologues. He’s loved by millions, but what many fans don’t know is that he has a very extreme method of keeping his weight in control.

Kimmel says that if he’s planning to eat some junk food or binge on his favorite treats, he’ll starve himself for two days beforehand to compensate for the calories. It’s not a very healthy or medically recommended plan, but it works as Jimmy has lost 20 lbs in recent years.

Pink

Like a lot of other women who have kids, Pink found that she was struggling to lose her post-pregnancy pounds. It can be really hard for new moms, even superstar singers like her, to lose that weight while also looking after their babies and coping with all the other responsibilities of family life.

Luckily, a few months after giving birth, Pink decided to team up with a personal trainer. This decision proved to be the right one, as she subsequently managed to lose 55 lbs through high-intensity workouts and strict diet control. She’s still making awesome music and looking better than ever.

Casey Donovan

Casey Donovan won the second season of Australian Idol way back in 2004 when she was just 16 years old. She then went on to appear in other reality TV shows, winning the third series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

The stress of her celebrity lifestyle led to Casey’s comfort-eating more and more frequently. She gained a lot of weight, eventually becoming clinically obese. As her health became increasingly under threat, she decided to cut carbs out of her diet, focus more on lean protein meals, and exercise too, dropping 50 lbs in the process.

Alison Moyet

English singer and songwriter Alison Moyet is famed for her stunning bluesy voice and her work as a solo artist, as well as her performances as part of the Yazoo duo. She’s sold millions of albums worldwide but shocked fans in 2007 with how much weight she seemed to have suddenly gained.

She might have been tempted with surgery to help her shed the pounds, but decided to go the natural route instead. She started going to the gym and made her diet much healthier and more balanced than it was before, losing lots of weight and looking a lot slimmer.

Angie Stone

Singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer Angie Stone came to fame in the ’70s as part of The Sequence, later going on to launch a successful solo career too with albums like Black Diamond. She got into acting in the 2000s and has recently released her ninth studio album, as well as losing a ton of weight.

She’s had to deal with a lot of health issues in her life, being diagnosed with diabetes and blood pressure problems too. Her doctor told her she needed to make some lifestyle changes to stay alive, so she cut down her calorie intake and started exercising daily to shed 75 lbs.
