Real life can actually be stranger than fiction sometimes. Disney parks across the world are considered to be centers of fun and fairy tales. Millions of visitors from across the globe visit these fascinating parks every single day, immersing themselves in this fantasy world and meeting their favorite characters from beloved stories.
However, while they relive their fantasy fairy tales, visitors to these parks have also ended up capturing some very interesting as well as strange moments in Disneyland. Here are a few of them!
Police Intervention!
We seem to forget that those who entertain us by dressing up as our favorite Disney characters actually are people who have lives outside this fantasy world, and those lives may not be as rosy as the characters’ they portray every day.
This picture would have caused a lot of little boys and girls deep concern. Parents would have had an interesting time explaining to their children why the lovely Snow White and cute little Mickey Mouse were being handcuffed and dragged away by the police.
Family Comes First
One of the most beloved Disney characters is Donald Duck, the little white duck in the sailor shirt and cap. With a permanent smile on his face, this adored cartoon character is most well-known for his mischievous as well as temperamental personality.
In this picture, however, he seems to be focused on family first. The little (or in this case, not-so-little) white duck seems to be shooing his relatives – a brace of ducks – as they wander through the park. Is he trying to get rid of them or his trying to protect them from the stream of people in the park?
Hell Hath No Fury…
They say that “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,” and this picture seems to drive that point home. This lady’s husband reportedly abandoned her at the Splash Mountain roller coaster ride, and she wasn’t happy about it – at all. In fact, even though she was on a crazy, adrenaline-inducing ride, surrounded by others screaming with excitement or fear, she sat there, stone-faced with arms crossed, completely unaffected by the dizzying ride.
We’re just wondering how her husband survived this ride.
Daddy’s Day Out
So whoever said that Disney parks were only for kids was totally wrong. And we have the picture to prove it. It seems to be Daddy’s day out rather than the kids’. The big kid is having a lot of fun, even if his family seems a little aghast by his childish antics. However, from the look of it, he doesn’t seem too bothered about his family’s reaction. After all, if you’re going on a vacation – especially to Disney – then you should have fun, right?
Mickey’s Come Hither Looks
Mickey is Disney’s most iconic as well as beloved character. We associate him with happiness and joy. And we also know that he has given his heart to Minnie Mouse. What we don’t expect from our favorite Disney character is flirtation and a come hither look.
However, here is the proof that even our most famous innocent little Mouse can be rather sultry and – just maybe – not as loyal to Minnie as we may have thought. After all, there are millions of people that visit Disney parks every year. So it stands to reason that Mickey could find someone else to spend his time with. However, will we ever be able to imagine Mickey in the role of Casanova? Probably not!
Not the Right Princess!
When we go to Disney parks, the one thing we look forward to seeing is the bevy of beautiful fairytale princesses that have been immortalized by Disney’s pictures. In fact, multitudes of parents can testify that they have been the victims of massive temper tantrums from their little princesses if they did not get to meet Disney’s princesses.
This little princess, however, does not seem to be even a little impressed by her meeting with Aurora, the one and only Sleeping Beauty. In fact, there appears to be a temper tantrum in progress about having met the legendary Princess. Maybe she was not the right Princess for this little one?
Belle Wasn’t the Only One to Say ‘No’
Gaston of Beauty and the Beast fame (or infamy) thought of himself as irresistible. After all, all the girls in his little village were madly in love with him. Well, almost all. Belle would have none of him and chose the terrifying Beast rather than succumb to Gaston’s good looks. Well, she was probably an exception to the rule, right?
Wrong. Here’s proof. Another beauty, this time at a Disney park, also disdains the handsome Gaston’s advances despite his attempts at wooing the lovely lady. Let’s hope that there isn’t another beast waiting in the shadows to do away with Gaston this time.
Go with the Flow
Parents in Disney parks need to go with the flow if they are to survive the week they spend there with their children. After all, they can either be miserable dragging themselves after their super-excited kids, who are bouncing from attraction to another, or they can get into the spirit of adventure and let themselves have some fun.
The good part of getting into the spirit of the game? You as a parent could probably end up embarrassing your kids so much that they will never want to visit Disney with you again! And this rule applies to all parents, even celebrities like Dean Norris.
Temper Tantrums are Universal
It doesn’t matter who you are. If you are a parent at a Disney park, then please take it for granted that you will be subjected to some epic tantrums by your kids. Such experiences have tormented Even celebrities like Drew Barrymore.

Not a Good Idea to Bring Enemies to the Party
When you visit Disney parks, be careful not to bring enemies to the party. Let us explain a little further. Employees at the park take their jobs very seriously. This means that when they don their costumes, the actors really immerse themselves in their roles.
So, wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Ursula on it and then going to meet the Little Mermaid Ariel is not such a good idea. As you can see from this picture, Ariel definitely had an opinion about the gentleman’s choice of attire!
Inappropriate Attire Continues
So, the gentleman with Ursula on his t-shirt wasn’t the only one to offend the characters at Disney. In fact, because Mickey and Minnie Mouse are Disney’s most beloved and iconic characters, someone wearing a t-shirt that reads “dead mouse” would be persona non grata at the park.
Ok. So yes, “deadmou5” is a successful musician who has no evil intent towards either Mickey or Minnie, but it might have been a better idea not to flaunt that piece of clothing at a Disney park. And it looks like the gentleman with the questionable t-shirt realized his mistake.
Wedding Bells, Anyone?
Disney parks are known to be meccas for the romantics, with many a wedding proposal being made in these fairy tale locations. Proposals are many every day at Disney. And while it is normally couples who use their Disney trips as an excuse to propose to their special ones, it is not unusual for visitors to try their luck by proposing to one of the Disney characters at the park.
The gentleman in this picture took the knee to propose to Gaston of Beauty and the Beast fame (or infamy). However, by the looks of it, Gaston wasn’t too impressed by the proposal. According to reports, the beau wasn’t too heartbroken by the rejection and went on to propose to numerous princesses at the park.
Peek-a-Boo! With Tigger
Here’s an unusual picture of Tigger with some of the Disney guests. He has covered both kids’ faces with his paws, and one can’t help but wonder what Tigger could have been protecting these children from.
Either that, or he had just had enough of photo ops with endless visitors and decided that enough was enough! Whatever his reasons for covering these visitors’ faces, it is doubtful that either of them will forget this picture and will have some interesting stories to tell of this adventure.
Unusual Photo Ops
Disney parks are not just wonderlands for children; they also provide some exciting photo opportunities for their visitors. And as always, there will be some who take those ops to the next level. After all, going to a fantasy land like Disney should mean getting some fascinating shots of your time there.
A perfect example of that is this gentleman in this picture, who looks like he had his head squashed by a cartoon safe. But don’t worry, no guests were harmed in the taking of this picture.
Lost for Words
As we said, marriage proposals are a common sight at Disney parks. However, this doesn’t mean that they evoke no response when they happen. Here is a lovely picture of a lady being left speechless by her beau going down on one knee and proposing to her.
What is more interesting, however, is the look of absolute shock on the face of the lady behind. Even though she probably doesn’t know this happy couple, she too is speechless over the proposal!
Role Reversal!
It is usually the children that drive their parents crazy, demanding to be taken to Disney parks. However, in this picture there seems to be role reversal. Here, the parents look ecstatic about being in a Disney park, while their little child looks desolate!
While the parents smile happily about visiting Disney’s park, their child looks like he or she would like to be anywhere but there. In fact, it looks like this trip was planned more for the parents’ benefit rather than the child’s!
His Princess Comes First
Parents end up doing all kinds of things to keep their children happy. And the best dads are the ones who not only do all those things for their kids, but they also do them happily. The difference is clear.
Here’s a picture of a wonderful dad who is not afraid to dress up for his little princess, even though they are in public. He doesn’t care about looking foolish. All he cares about is bringing a smile to his little girl’s face. Anyway, considering the fact that they are visiting a Disney park, daddy dressing up will not be an unusual thing.
Toy Story Fun
In the Disney animation film Toy Story, the only time the toys are animate is when there are no humans around. As soon as a human appears, the toys become inanimate. In fact, in the movie, one of the toys would be on the lookout and would shout out, “Andy’s back!” Andy was the kid who owned all those toys.
There were rumors doing the rounds that if you went to a Disney park and shouted, “Andy’s coming!” This picture seems to be lending that rumor some credence. Thankfully, it turned out that these rumors were not true, otherwise, kids would be shouting “Andy’s coming!” all the time!
Oops! Photo Bomber!
When you propose to your beloved, you try to ensure that every detail is planned out to perfection. This means planning the perfect trip to a Disney park and then proposing to that special someone in public. It also means having someone take a picture of that perfect moment when you propose to her.
What it doesn’t include is a rather guilty photo bomber wandering into that picture precisely when you go down on one knee and propose!
Babies for Lunch?
Goofy is Mickey’s best friend and if you’re wondering what he eats, here’s a picture that seems to answer that question. That beloved Disney character seems to love babies for lunch and it looks like he doesn’t care who knows it as he gobbles up this adorable baby with no concern for who is watching.
And we wonder how the parents of this poor little tyke are dealing with this revelation. Maybe we should avoid Goofy the next time we visit a Disney Park!
Memorable Splash Mountain Ride
One of the most popular rides in all the Disney theme parks across the globe is the Splash Mountain ride. And a lot of people love to use the ride to create fun and lasting memories. They do so by doing some really crazy stuff while getting their pictures taken during the ride.
However, this group has really made the effort to make their Splash Mountain ride truly special. The five of them chose the perfect theme for a water ride and created a picture that would last a lifetime.
Princess Protection Agency
The Princess Protection Agency has two new recruits and they seem to be pretty unhappy about their detail. While the rest of the family seems super excited about getting their picture taken with the beauty Belle, the two little agents seem not so enthused about being in the same frame.
But then again, they are on the job and may be taking their responsibilities very seriously. After all, how many security details have you seen smiling while on the job?
Breaking the Bro Code
Everyone thought that Mickey and Minnie Mouse would be together forever. Sadly, from this picture, it looks like Minnie has found someone else. And it’s not just anyone that Minnie picked. It’s Mickey’s best friend, Goofy.
Goofy doesn’t seem to have heard of the “bro code” and has made off with the devastated Mickey’s girl. We never thought that we would see the day that Mickey and Minnie would be history.
Taking off the Mask
When you visit a Disney park, you know that the characters walking around there are also people, but you never really give it a thought. You still think of them as the characters they portray. Thus, when you see them without their masks, you still get a slight shock when the actor is revealed.
For example, in this picture, you have a happy Mickey Mouse turn into a not so happy, taking-a-smoke-break actor. Really shatters the illusion, doesn’t it? Which is why actors at Disney’s parks are not allowed to remove their costumes while they are inside the parks.
Adulting the Right Way
Disney parks are not just for kids. Adults too love to visit these theme parks and want their pictures taken with the Disney characters. And a lot of times these photos turn out to be lovely pictures.
Here’s a lovely example. This gentleman wanted to have his picture taken with one of the Disney princesses, but he also insisted on making a funny face. Well, the princess, being a great sport, instead of smiling prettily, joined in on the fun and also made a fishy face. The result of that pose was this lovely, happy picture.
She’s Not the Queen of My Heart!
The Disney character the Queen of Hearts is quite strange looking. And for children, that weird looking Queen will actually be terrifying. And for really small children, like the toddler in this picture, he won’t even know that it is just a real live person inside that costume.
Maybe it would be a good idea for the family to look for more friendly looking characters for this little babies so that their Disney trip doesn’t turn into a nightmare.
Goofy’s Hungry Again
When visitors come to Disney, they want to meet their favorite characters. And when they meet them, they look forward to getting some high fives, take a few pictures with them and maybe even give them a big hug.
However, when it comes to Goofy, that kind of bonding just doesn’t seem to happen. Here’s another picture where it looks like he’s having a child for a snack.
Photo Bomber Part 2
People take pictures so that they can preserve their beautiful memories of a wonderful time spent in the magical Disney world. And that is exactly what this group of four young people were trying to do – take a really nice picture to commemorate the time they spent at Disney.
Unfortunately for them, they had a photo bomber, who saw the opportunity to be in their picture – and took it.
Kronk Joins the Race
Every year, Walt Disney World hosts a weekend event which includes races of varying distances that visitors can run while dressing up as their favorite Disney characters.
Here is a picture of a man dressed as Kronk, the character from The Emperor’s New Groove. This gentleman even built a replica of the litter that Kronk wore on his back in which he carried the royal advisor, the evil Yzma.
Paws for the Frame
Another one for this list. This family decided that they wanted to get a picture taken with both Beauty and her Beast. Now, when you take a picture, it is usually done in a way that the faces of all the participants can be seen. However, in this shot, that proved to be completely impossible.
As you can see, Beast blessed both the children by placing his huge paws on their heads, thereby totally obscuring their faces and turning a nice picture into a really memorable one.
Get Away from My Sister!
If you saw a giant duck waddle up to your sister and give her a hug, you would definitely panic. Except if it happened at a Disney park. However, even in this fantasy world, seeing a life-size animal can be a terrifying experience for the very young.
So, in this picture, when this little baby saw his big sister posing with an adult-sized Donald Duck, he thought that she was being attacked by him.
Splash Mountain Pictures Again
Like we said earlier, Splash Mountain water rides are one of the most popular attractions in Disney parks. And people go to extreme lengths to ensure that the photo op just at the beginning of the big drop of the ride is really memorable.
And these two friends definitely gave it a shot by acting like they were playing chess just before taking that plunge!
Even Villains Need Some Fun
Even villains need some time out from committing crimes. Thus, even criminals take some time out from their nefarious activities and indulge in some fun such as going on rides at Disney World.
And while the shuttle on the Astro Orbiter may not do much except go round and round, it is still a super fun way to pass the time. Even Darth Vader seems to be having a really good time.
Disney Fight Club?
While Disney parks seem to be the favorite destination of kids across the world, we wonder how many of them – especially the much younger ones – actually enjoy their time there.
After all, they get to see these huge life-sized “monsters” (Disney characters) roaming around the castle, which can be a really frightening experience. Therefore, when Mickey Mouse came to greet and hug this little girl, she did what any sensible little girl did – kicked Mickey where it hurt the most and tried to push the mouse off.
Tigger the Terrifying Tiger
If a wild tiger were to enter the restaurant in which you’re eating, then the most logical thing to do would be to hide under the table so that the Tigger couldn’t catch you.
Thus, in this picture, while the rest of the family happily posed with Tigger, the little girl hid under the table to protect herself from harm.
Happy Moments at Disney
Usually, when people take photographs at Disney parks, they look happy and full of excitement. Therefore, this picture becomes strange since the entire family is standing outside Sleeping Beauty’s tower but still look so grim.
